CarrierPoint’s solution includes and advanced 2-way interface with existing order management/ERP systems to provide a completely hands-off environment – orders flow directly into CarrierPoint, and results flow directly back to existing systems, including carrier assignments for each load, scheduling events, delivery confirmation, and rate details.
Integration: Full two-way integration with existing Order Management Systems or ERP’s is simple with CarrierPoint’s Integration Toolkit, OMSI. This toolkit does not require any 3rd-party software, provides a secure, encrypted communication link with CarrierPoint, and does not require any knowledge of Internet technologies such as XML, HTTPS or Webservers. All you need to know is how to fill and read database tables on your own server. Typical integrations are performed in 2-3 person-weeks, using internal IT resources, regardless of the technology used in-house.
Configuration-driven: The CarrierPoint application is highly configurable, including load tendering rules, access to information (by your employees, customer, vendors, and carriers), and security configurations. In addition, you control for each of your plants or distribution centers what permissions to grant each of your carriers.
Secure: CarrierPoint was built from the ground up with security in mind. All communications are encrypted using SSL – not only User ID and Password information, but all load information. Row-level security prevents registered users from accessing unauthorized information through URL spoofing. Permissions profiles and visibility rules make sure the right information is available to the right people, and that they can perform only the tasks they are assigned.
